Before you buy a condom, it is important to check:
- the use-by date,
- if the seal is not broken or if the packaging is not damaged,
- the seals of approval by Inmetro and its affiliate institutes, which are responsible for certifying the product.
Remember: quality condoms are essential.
Where to store condoms?
These are not good places to keep condoms:
- your wallet, as the condom can crumple and the packaging can be damaged. If you are storing it for a short period of time you can put it in your wallet, making sure it does not have any friction with your body or any other objects and that you do not sit on it.
- your bag, as the condom should be placed away from any sharp objects.
- the car’s glove compartment, as they should not be exposed to heat, which can alter the condom’s burst pressure.
You should always store condoms in a cool and dry place.
PLEASE NOTE: Once opened, if you do not use it, the condom can no longer be used, as the lubricant will dry out.
You will find condoms in individual boxes and packages.
The male condom can be found in two ways:
- in individual boxes, and
- in packs, which can contain from three up to twelve units, depending on the brand.
